We’re going to play another game of catch up. I get so behind on these posts but my OCD tendencies won’t let me skip them, and I really want to write a recap of the race I did earlier this month, so today we’re playing catch up. Lots of pictures of what we did in September and October and maybe, hopefully, I won’t get behind again. I wouldn’t hold your breath though 😉
Earlier this summer, after Braden and I returned from our trip to Atlanta, we spent a week at Cub Scout day camp at Camp Echockotee. Yes, I said “we”. Something you may not know about me is that I’m crazy over-protective when it comes to my kids. Some of my friends tease me about it, but I’m okay with that. The idea of my sweet boy out in the woods with the critters, shooting guns, swimming, doing archery.. all of that without one of his parents there? It kind of made me crazy.
It’s been a little over two weeks since my last post about what we’re up to, so I figured we’re due!
Hello, hello! It’s been a few days! I haven’t really felt like sitting down to write much, so.. I didn’t. We’ve been keeping busy, as usual. I kind of think I don’t know what I’d do if we didn’t have a jam-packed calendar. Thankfully it’s mostly fun stuff!
I’ll keep this one quick and let the pictures do that talking because I have another post that I really want to write, but my OCDish brain won’t let me write it until this one is done. I haven’t written much because it was seriously go, go, go around here. I think we have a few relaxing weekends coming up, but I’m kind of scared to look at the calendar. Truthfully, I kind of enjoy the chaos. Since I work from home, I get bored sitting around on the weekends doing nothing.
A few weeks ago, Braden’s Cub Scout pack held their annual Pinewood Derby and Braden’s car, the Red and Blue Racer, won second place for the Tiger Cubs. Since he placed in his den, he was invited to race at the district level, along with the first and third place finishers from his den. That race was held on March 21st at the Orange Park Mall and included Cub Scouts from all over our county.
I want to apologize for the back-to-back giveaway posts. The last thing I want is for my blog to be one big ad, but when it involves a giveaway for you guys, I have a really hard time saying no! I love when I get the opportunity to give things away!
This was one of those rare weekends where it felt like it lasted longer than two days. A big part of that is probably because we pretty much stayed home all day Sunday, which is my least favorite weekend thing-to-do, but the kids wanted to do it so we did!
I’m not sure if I’ve mentioned this before, but Adam is the Assistant Den Leader for Braden’s Cub Scout pack. I really want to insert a picture here of him in his Cub Scout uniform, but I kind of like being married so maybe I shouldn’t..
Or at least, that’s how it feels. A killer sinus infection, followed by a lovely allergic reaction, has had me on my butt for the last few days. I’ve also been off work since December 23rd, so I think this is the first time I’ve actually turned on my computer since then. I feel like our Christmas break flew by so fast. When it started, I was so excited for two weeks of just hanging out with my family and friends without a ton of obligations, but like usual, we found things to keep us busy and then I got sick.. and here we are. I’m going to try to keep it short today and just share a few pictures of what we were up to before Christmas.
