I have this thing with my kids, I don’t want to be a controlling mom. I want to teach them to think for themselves, to make decisions on their own. I want them to learn that their decisions and actions have consequences. I want them to grow up to be adults that can gather information about a situation, assess it all, and decide on the right course of action.
I haven’t felt like writing much this week. I’ve been sick and thinking about Sammy a lot. We had a lot going on and we’ve been crazy busy though, so I have lots to keep me busy next week. I ran four races last weekend – a 4 mile beach run, 5k, 1 mile sprint, and another 5k – so I have recaps for those plus a super exciting one all about Braden’s first day of Kindergarten. (Here’s a spoiler – he LOVED it!!) Until then, here’s a few things going on right now..
That’s what Braden wanted. That is not what I wanted.
Mr. B got his hair cut again this morning. It was a disaster. The place was cute, he was wonderful.. but she totally and completely butchered his hair. Thankfully it grows pretty quickly. 🙁 We won’t be going back, we’ll make the trek down to St. Augustine to go to Doodle Doo’s from now on.
Mr. B got his first hair cut today! Adam kept saying it was time and I kept putting it off.. he finally got his way. It looks really cute, he looks so grown up now though! 🙁
